What’s Blooming
There is so much color exploding on the farm right now and I am loving every second of it!
After our first initial wave of Spring blooms, I was very anxiously awaiting our warmer weather crops to start producing. There are so many flowers starting to produce some really spectacular blooms and I feel that in just a few short weeks, we will be drowning in flowers! The dahlias I have been so impatiently waiting for are starting to produce some amazing blooms at an incredible rate. The dahlias from tubers are much larger and more abundant, but the dahlias from seed are proving to be every bit as beautiful. The zinnias have started pushing up their first blooms and are everything I had hoped they would be. I’m so glad that these guys love the heat because I am looking forward to buckets and buckets filled to the brim of them. The cosmos just as expected, are definitely a dependable workhorse and are blooming faster than we can use them! The calendula has been very productive and I am very curious to see just how long they will hold up in the heat. They make a wonderful addition to arrangements in a supportive role or an adorable colorful bouquet all on their own. The celosia is growing taller and larger by the hour and I almost don’t want to cut it down. The colors of their velvety plumes is mesmerizing and their vase life is unreal.
I could blabber on and on about how beautiful all of these flowers are but my words could never fully incapsulate just how phenomenal they are. Photos almost don't do them justice, they are even more incredible in person.
