Flowers Are Essential
In the world today, I see a need for beauty and hope now more than ever. It is very easy at a time like this to lose faith and hope in what tomorrow can bring. But with flowers, there is always hope in the future. Growing and nurturing flowers from seed has taught me many things, including patience and persistence, to hold on to hope and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
By growing flowers, I feel I am cultivating more beauty, hope and courage into the world. Beauty in the colors, forms, and fragrance that nature creates, hope in a future full of beauty and wonder, and the courage to dream big and believe in a better tomorrow.
With every seed that I sow, I am amazed at their resilience. The innate sense of survival that keeps the roots seeking a stronger hold, the stem a sturdier stance and its petals the ability to unfurl without hesitation and flutter in the breeze. In flowers, I find a reason to remain hopeful and a reason to keep my faith in trying times. Because a flower will always bloom after a storm, it will always find the light in dark times. They are unabashed and proudly bloom without concern. They will continue to find a way to not only survive, but to thrive.
